This edition, although bearing the date 1850 and the name of F. D. Benteen as publisher on the title page and p.3, seems to have been published by Miller & Beacham sometime after 1853, when Miller & Beacham succeeded to F. D. Benteen & Co., since p. [6] contains an advertisemnt of "New And Popular Music, For The Piano Forte, Published By Miller & Beacham, (Successors to F. D. Benteen & Co.) No. 181 Baltimore Street, Baltimore."
